Miss NJ:  Still not a good pic, but good enough.  He looks to be a cutie.  And it is very good to see all the grown-ups playing nice.  Despite what I say about being on Team Bridget, the truth is, at the end of the day there’s really only one team.  Maybe this will smooth over some of the lingering bitterness, if it hasn’t already.

‘Melo was arrested early Monday morning, the story about LaLa not coming to get him broke yesterday morning, at 8 pm last night People.com posted a statement from LaLa:

“I want to make sure the public understands that I fully support my fiancé, Carmelo Anthony, and stand by him through this ordeal.  I will always have his back and never refused to pick him up from the police station. In fact, they offered to bring him to me.”

And then ‘Melo said:

“LaLa continues to be a rock in my life, she’s always been there for me through thick and thin.”

Miss NJ: This tells me one thing at least, LaLa’s going nowhere in the short term.  Now long-term, that’s anybody’s game.  But it’s good they know how to play nice for the cameras.  It means when the break-up comes, they’ll be able to be civil to each other for the baby’s sake.

Miss NJ:  My favorite line in the article about Posh’s trip to the Staples Center: “With a look of intense concentration on her face, Posh vainly tried hard to follow just what was going on.”   What are they trying to say exactly?  She was doing her wifely duty here.  All women do it; you know, pretend to care about something that really excites their man just ’cause he likes it so much, not because they actually give a damn.  But you see that she rewarded herself with a shopping trip.  I wonder if that’s their deal, everytime she has to do something she doesn’t want to because he wants her to, she gets a shopping trip?  Not a bad deal.  She coordinates so well: the bag, the shoes work so well with the dress and keep a fairly nondescript grey dress from being blah.

BK Diva:  Posh always brings her A game when it comes to the clothes darling!

Tom Brady is bonding with his baby son, but he’s still not on speaking terms with his baby-mama ex, Bridget Moynahan. The Patriots QB and his gal, Gisele Bundchen, visited L.A. to spend time with infant John last week, but Moynahan made sure nannies did all the handing over, reports Us Weekly.

Miss NJ:  No, this pic has nothing to do with the post, but it caught my eye.  Mostly because it shows how big Tom’s legs are.  A good thing.  So, the stepmonster got to spend quality time with John.  Interesting.  But Tom and Bridget are still not speaking.  Guess that wedding isn’t taking place anytime soon.

BK Diva:  I give it up to Tom.  He has a strong ego for a man, especially being that TMZ has dubbed him “Errand Boy”  Maybe next year he’ll live up to his hype & get his balls back.

Yankee legend Mickey Mantle may have scored a home run with America’s perennial movie virgin. In his upcoming tell-all, “Doris Day: the Untold Story of the Girl Next Door,” David Kaufman says the perky star met the skirt-chasing Mick when he did a cameo in her 1962 flick “That Touch of Mink.” After Day became “a free agent” when her marriage to Martin Melcher crumbled, Mantle homed in. “A notorious womanizer, Mantle boasted to friends that not only had he slept with Day at his regular suite in New York’s St. Moritz Hotel, but that she was ‘one of the best [bleeps] of his life,’ ” Kaufman writes. A spokeswoman for Day, who turned 84 last week, said the actress would have no comment.

Miss NJ:  There’s no such thing as a secret in Hollywood, if there’s money involved in the telling.  What is the point of telling this now other than selling some extra copies of his book?  Some publicity ploys are so obvious.  And pathetic.

BK Diva:  I really did not need to know that this old hoe has good pussy!

How many Memphis fans thought they had it?  Well, yeah that’s why you practice free throws.  Memphis played a great game, but they couldn’t close and that’s a function of conference play.  Memphis is not tested for nearly three months of the year because Conference USA is not good enough for them.  They need to leave.  SEC was suggested last night during the game, which is not a bad choice.  Especially since there’ll be built-in rivalries due to location.

Congrats to Bill Self and Kansas!!  Well-earned victory.

Miss NJ:  So, I got three out of the Final Four teams.  If had been able to trust that Kansas wouldn’t choke, I would have had four out of four, but who knew?

So, looking at the landscape, I’m actually still pretty confident with UCLA, surprisingly.  I thought UNC would become my favorite with Georgetown out of the picture, but given the way people are playing I’m okay with my choice.

I haven’t mentioned the women’s tourney because honestly it hasn’t been all that interesting.  The Elite Eight are all #1 and #2 seeds:

  • New Orleans : UNC v. LSU
  • Spokane: Maryland v. Stanford
  • Oklahoma City: Tennessee v. Texas A&M
  • Greensboro: UConn v. Rutgers

We’ll talk again next week and see if UCLA can pull it out.

BK Diva:  This is my girl Miss Jersey’s thing.  You go boo boo.

Michael Jordan showed up with not one, but two hot girls on his arm at the recent Oakley sunglasses women’s event in Miami. “They were both acting like his girlfriends, like it was a menage a trois. They both had their hands on his thighs,” said a spy. “The girls even looked alike, tan with dark hair.”

Miss NJ:  I fail to understand why this is news of any type (as I post and comment on it).  MJ’s been doing him for a looooong time.

Miss NJ:  My first thought was: Cookie must have a hard time with all of that in bed.  But then I came to my senses and realized he and Cookie don’t sleep in the same bed.  She’s not taking any chances with nocturnal emissions.

Miss NJ:  Boxing is another one of my favorite sports and next month is going to be a good one.  I included the PPV just because.

April 12: Cotto v. Gomez and Cintron v. Margarito

This is interesting as the set-up fight for Cotto v. Margarito.  Margarito keeps talking ish about people ducking him so we’ll see if he can back it up by first beating Cintron, which is not an easy task.

April 19: Hopkins v. Calzaghe

I have been waiting for this ever since Calzaghe fixed his mouth to call Bernard out.  He’s going to quickly realize that Bernard is no Jeff.  There won’t be a knockout but Bernard will win and hang that first L on Calzaghe.

May 31: Mosely v. Judah

The only problem with this fight is it’s PPV.  Who’s paying to see this?  Really?  I like Zab and he really helped his career out with his fight against Cotto.  This has the potential to be very interesting but as neither man holds a title or is likely to in the near future, I’m not paying.
